The Feedback Loop
Although this website is refreshed from time to time, that is not done frequently. So it is only a sketchy description of C4L’s social contribution. The website does not try to report on projects or time periods. It is only a historical outline of our work.
The regular sources of news is the C4L Bulletin which goes out to “Friends of C4L” about once a month. This has been going on for over 300 months! That includes fifteen bulletins before opening day on 1 September 1999.
The C4L Bulletin started as a kind of activity-report but has evolved into more thematic thought-bursts arising from our work. A sampling of these Bulletins was later placed on three blogsites – our first step into broader public engagement. But if givers want a regular flow of feedback then the C4L Bulletin is a good start.
On the Prayer page of this website, it is notd that the CEO sends out a shorter Prayer Letter about twice a month. Between that and the C4L Bulletin, stakeholders can get a good sense of the direction things are going in.
Progress Reports
For grantmakers and SETAs, approvals and appointments always involve an agreed reporting schedule. But these reports are of course the property of the respective Donors.
Annual Reports
C4L’s Annual Report is prepared for the AGM and is then submitted to the Nonprofit Directorate which requires this and C4L’s annual audit to maintain our status as “compliant”.
2024 Social Media
As C4L recovers from the Covid funding drought, it is hoping to open pages on some social media platforms to share its news including some photography. One role for an internation volunteer could be to assist C4L with setting up the social media pages and the internal routines needed to keep them fresh.
