C4L’s public courses

Over the past 25 years, leadership and management development events and projects at C4L have been supported both sponsorships and grants from:

• Kellogg Foundation

In 2024, C4L has applied to the Department of Social Development to kick-start capacity development of CBOs.

Computer training

Over the past decade, the following clients and donors have attended or supported lifeskills training at C4L:

• CIWI
• MICT SETA

Conversational English

• This started with public courses for clients from NGOs in Mozambique
• English Access (a US Embassy window of funding)

Grief counseling for OVC

C4L’s child protection programme trained teachers, peer counselors and community caregivers. This was supported by:

• EMAS
• Canadian International Development Agency
• Department of Health and Social Services
• Reachout to Africa
• The ABSA Foundation
• Rotary International
• National Arts Council of South Africa
• Scouts

In 2024, a proposal is in the pipeline at the Department of Social Development to revive this programme.

Green Livelihoods

C4L launched this programme in 2010.  Starting then, donations for this initiative have been received from:

• V Sun Tech
• Darbytech
• Vodacom Foundation
• EXARRO
• The Energy and Water SETA

In 2024, C4L has approach the National Skills Fund to train 550 more youth over the next three years.ed

Un-funded

In 2024, C4L has approached one major donor to kick-start Pocket Mentor. A response is still awaited.
