Lifeskills

C4L offers two kinds of lifeskills training for youth.  Both are mission-critical:

  • End-user Computing

C4L is in fact accredited by the MICT SETA to offer the End-user Computing qualification.  For more details, click here.

  • English Comprehension
Improving English has evolved at C4L.  It started by running "Conversational English" courses for Mozambican NGO managers.  Then C4L hosted an English Access project in a local high school for 2 years.

The new focus is on schools-based reading - C4L has just released a book in two languages (English and siSwati) containing a mix of traditional and modern themes.  It was found that while youth speak Swazi as a first language, they tend to read in English not their own language.
